Ryan Adams is on PBS tonight. It's a rerun of a 2005 episode where he sings songs from Jacksonville City Nights.

Recently saw Aloha and Cat Power live at Subterranean and the Vic, respectively. Both shows had one disturbingly missing ingredient: the audience's interest. Really, why come if you're not going to pay attention? It's all the buzz and "hip"ness. Yeah, you know what I mean. People want to be scene these days more than they want to be heard.
