Some things I read today:
Fidelity Investments is estimating that a couple retiring in 2008 will need to set aside $225,000 for medical bills alone, a four percent increase from last year. Have you started saving yet? Ready to change that McCain vote yet?
The FCC is investigating a 12-minute signal blackout in Alabama that occurred during the show 60 Minutes. Coincidentally(!), it was during a 13-minute segment on Don Siegelman, the state's former governer, who's sitting in jail. The story suggested that Republican politics were behind his prosecution for corruption. I wonder what happened...
14,250 homes were foreclosed on in Chicago last year. Consider that most of these houses had more than one person living in them, several of them families.
Hillary Clinton won Texas and Ohio?!? Good thing I'm wearing black today.
