Senator Webb's Troop Protection Amendment, which would have provided mandated rest for US National Guard and Reserve troops, was blocked by Republicans AND the spineless, worthless Independent, Joe Lieberman.

Lieberman fillibustered the act which would have given Guard and Reservist troops as much time as home as on the battlefield. Remember, these are not full-time professional troops--they have careers and families back home.

26-year-old Erick Botta, a reservist from Port St. Lucie, is suing the military to keep from being deployed for the 5th Time in 5 years!
