Al Gore has beeen on the mind lately.

Last week's Time Magazine featured him on the cover and the story within was fascniating. He talked about what he's been up to and his new book, The Assault On Reason. Yesterday, Gore signed copies at the State Street Borders, but damnit, I just found out about it today.

The book has some heavy critique of the media and its focus on celebrity gossip and sensationalism rather than real Journalism. As a Journalism grad student, I couldn't agree with him more.

I also watched An Inconvenient Truth last night... scary as hell. It really is a triumph for Gore, though... an amazing crusade.

The DVD has an "update" from him, with some new information released since the documentary was filmed. It's worth checking out. Also, the hardcover novel version of An Inconvenient Truth is out. The book looks amazing, like the designers at Apple, where Gore is on the board of directors, did it. Someone should make it a present to me.
