Billionaires Bill Gates and Eli Broad are joining forces to pump $60 million into a political effort that aims to bring EDUCATION to the top of the issues list in the 2008 elections.

Experts say that this will be the most money ever spent on a single-issue initiative.

Bill Gates, as unsavory a person he is, has been campaigning (pun intended) for a long-needed overhaul of the education system, and he's really upped the stakes with this move.

I'm EXTREMELY interested to see if this produces any results. We all have known for a long time that politics, and especially the campaign process, is driven by money. Let's see what big money can do for a worthy cause.
